Account / Community Sales Manager wanted


Seek4 develop and provide global communities for internet users, Companies, interest groups, organizations and clubs, with similar interests. Seek4 provides brand and marketing strategy in a social network world and implements branded online vertical communities.

The Community sales manager will join a team of Community Product Managers and will be responsible for building the sales and managing client accounts on a day to day basis, including client interface, view of the account, developing/growing business with the account, overseeing, strategizing and managing aspects of the Seek4 provided communities.

The Community Sales Manager must be able to manage a number of projects with a high level strategic view as well as participate in tactical implementation. This position interfaces directly with management at our global brand and global marketing clients, as well as with all levels and functions within Seek4 Communities

The Community Sales Manager is responsible to lead, manage and grow the sales department. This position also performs a consulting role within our strategic consulting practice. The Community Sales Manager must promote good communication both internally and with the client, and coordinate the necessary resources to meet client expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide on-going strategic vision for Seek4 community and social networking efforts.
  • Partner with Product managers to develop and write business plans including budget forecasts for the following year.
  • Manage the overall client relationship by setting and delivering upon client expectations.
  • Ensure deliverables meet client's strategy and drive the account forward based on client objectives.
  • Maintain and grow revenue from existing clients and identify and participate in new business initiatives for prospects.
  • Lead regular client presentations and strategic discussions; be involved with, and sometimes lead, higher level negotiations with clients including but not limited to contracts, bid pricing, billing, and conflict situations (with the Community Product Managers and Seek4 management, as appropriate).
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the client's business, the marketplace, the customer, and all aspects of interactive marketing.
  • Master understanding of functionality, implementation, and application for Seek4 suite of community applications and services, including but not limited to message and support forums, reviews, profiles, blogs, groups chat, live events, consulting, statistics analysis, and moderation services.
  • Lead development of internal annual business/marketing plan for client business and manage periodic account reviews.
  • Mentor and train Community Product Managers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Worked with interactive marketing or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of strategic marketing, business and financial principles.
  • Thorough understanding of marketing new media techniques including Web, intranet and extranet development, as well as understanding of overall marketing strategy and integrated communications.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Creative, collaborative, and solutions oriented.
  • Skilled with web-based community tools.
  • Experienced in participating in online communities.
  • Able to represent and promote Seek4 in a professional manner and demonstrate value added service to client.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills and outstanding presentation and proposal abilities.
  • Business application skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Can commit to a flexible work schedule including, evenings, occasional 24x7 on- call responsibilities, and work weekends as necessary to meet project goals and deadlines.
  • Can travel to meet with customers as needed, and meet with clients on a regular basis face-to-face, online, and by telephone.
  • Maintain a business appropriate telecommuting work environment including, high-speed broadband Internet connection, and appropriate atmosphere to work remotely and communicate with customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and meet multiple deadlines using available resources.
  • Effectively organize and prioritize multiple customers and/or projects simultaneously.
  • Leadership, motivational, organizational, interpersonal skills and sound judgment.
  • Rapid comprehension and retention of information.
